IN CONCERT: Virginia Steiger and Betty Meyers

On Thursday, July 12, at 7:30 p.m. Virginia Steiger, flute and Betty
Meyers, piano will preview works for their upcoming trip to Nicaragua.
Included on this preview concert will be Claude Bolling's delightful
Suite for Flute and Jazz Piano.  Cleveland Orchestra bassist Thomas
Sperl will be assisting with the concert as well.  A free-will offering
will be accepted with the proceeds going to a 2008 work trip to Costa
Rica.

      The concert will be held in the sanctuary at Church of the
Saviour, 2537 Lee Road, Cleveland Hts. OH 44118.  The church has free
lighted parking and is handicapped-accessible.  For more information

On August 23, Virginia Steiger, flutist, and Betty Meyers, pianist, will
travel to Managua, Nicaragua, to participate in two music festivals.
Virginia and Betty will perform in the capital city of Managua, as well
as in the city of Granada and the Montelimar resort. They will accompany
the choirs of the First Baptist Church of Managua at the Choir Festival
in the National Theater and will also present a concert as part of a
classical music festival for Central and South America.

In addition to performances in the National Theater, they will give a
concert in the largest men's prison and participate in morning worship
services at the First Baptist Church.=20

They also plan to visit Wilma, a kindergarten-aged child whom Betty
sponsors through Compassion International.
