Progressive Art Tour September 28
The Progressive Corporation’s art collection is one of the most important corporate art collections in the US. Only art students and art groups are given the opportunity to see this prized collection. Join Friends of BCA as we savor these gems during our private narrated 2 hour tour. Class fee of $10 for members and non members alike benefits art programming at BCA. Limit 30. Call BCA to register. Meet the BCA group at Progressive Corporation Headquarters in Mayfield Village at 9:30 am.
Chihuly, Lidia and Ikea October 18
Brecksville Center for the Arts has planned a fun and informative day in Pittsburgh.
This tour starts with a visit to the Phipps Conservatory to see "Chihuly at the Conservatory: A Garden of Glass." The one-of-a-kind exhibit was designed by world famous glass artist, Dale Chihuly. The bus will take travelers to the Strip District for lunch at Lidia Bastianich’s popular restaurant. The tour ends with a “shop ‘til you drop” visit to Ikea. World class art, great food and “retail therapy”….a winning way to spend a fall day! Cost of the tour is $100 for BCA members and $110 for non members. Fee includes admission to exhibit, lunch and motor coach. All are welcome. The bus leaves Brecksville at 7 am and returns at approximately 8 pm. call 440-526-6232 for more information.
Akron Adventure November 16
Tour the magnificent new Akron Art Museum which houses over 35,000 art objects. We’ll have a 1 ½ hour narrated tour of the building which just underwent a 3-year, 34 million dollar renovation. After viewing the current exhibits we’ll have time for lunch in the new café and browsing through the new museum shop. Call BCA for more details, directions and parking information. The Course fee is $10 for members and non members alike and includes museum admission and guided tour. Lunch is not included in the course fee. Meet at Akron Art Museum at 10:30
Brecksville Center for the Arts is a 501C3 organization offering education in the fine, applied and performing arts. Office hours are Monday-Friday, 9:30 am – 4 pm. BCA is open to all Ohio residents. BCA is located at 8997 Highland Drive with some classes held at the Blossom Hill City Complex, 4450 Oakes Road.
