This position involves Wednesday evenings and some weekend hours =
starting in the fall of 2007.  Hourly rate is based upon experience.

Applicants must have the ability to work with students of all ages and =
skill levels.  Must be professional, display leadership qualities and be =

The TrueNorth Stage Band: Director=20

Perform the music of the legends of jazz from the 1930's to the present, =
masters like Duke Ellington, Count Basie, Stan Kenton, Buddy Rich, Glenn =
Miller, and more.  Stage Band emphasizes improvisation, basic arranging =
and ensemble playing. The Stage Band will consist of 2 levels. The first =
level - late beginners-intermediate level students - will develop skills =
in reading syncopated rhythms, phrasing, dynamics, and working in =
cooperative ensemble setting. The second level - advanced students - =
will further develop skills in reading, interpreting, soloing, and stage =
presence.
