August THEATRE, FILM, and COMEDY Workshop by the Slightly Askew
Theatre Company (the last workshop of the summer for high school
students before school starts!)

WHAT: Come study short film making and hone your mad skills with NYC's
hit sketch comedy troupe The Other Baldwins (Randy Blair, Melinda
Stewart, and Tim Drucker)!

We will teach you the hilarious processes of creativity including but
not limited to comedy writing, improv, film acting, the art of social
satire, film directing, and editing for maximum hilarity.  And also
rocking socks off. Deep in the heart of Birdtown in Lakewood, Ohio,
you will create the funniest of short films using the darling
neighborhood as your muse, and you will leave the workshop with a
viral video to rival Baby Landlord. Come to us like Hogwarts First
Years, and leave like you are a Secret Member of the Order of the
Phoenix.

WHEN: August 16-20, 2007, 10 am to 6 pm each day

WHERE: Birdtown, Lakewood, OH  (Meet at Fedor Manor each morning at 10 am)

ARTISTS' BIOS:

MELINDA STEWART graduated with Honors in December of 2005 from the
Tisch School of the Arts at New York University with a BFA in theatre.
 She has played Bette in The Marriage of Bette and Boo, the Ideal
Cressida in Slightly Askew's Troilus and Cressida, Lady Capulet in
Romeo and Juliet in the park in Harlem, and various roles in a
National Tour of staged literary classics entitled Encore!  Stewart
has also written and performed with sketch comedy troupes Wicked
Wicked Hammerkatz and The Misses at the Upright Citizen's Brigade
Theatre and all over New York City.  Stewart has been teaching with
Slightly Askew since 2004 in Ohio and New York City.

TIMOTHY MICHAEL DRUCKER is an actor/director in New York City. A proud
member of The Other Baldwins sketch comedy, he is also the resident
director of Shifting Ground Productions (www.shifting-ground.org). He
holds a B.F.A. in drama from New York University's Tisch School of the
Arts. Recent credits include TheatreworksUSA's Freedom Train, as well
as "30 Rock", "Guiding Light" and the Sam Mendes' feature
Revolutionary Road.

RANDY BLAIR is just too funny to write about.  He's been in movies.  Yep.
