The Jewish Community Center Theater Project, Akron is still casting 2
roles for their production of BROOKLYN BOY.

The roles still to be cast are:=20

The 70 year old Brooklyn born Jewish father.

The male, 25ish, TV "Star" who should be fairly tall, (6' or more)
blonde or willing to change hair color, who speaks with a slight western
twang.

After many years, Jewish theatre is returning to the Shaw JCC of Akron
this fall with a production of Brooklyn Boy, by Donald Margulies. The
play will be directed by Akron theatre veteran Bob Belfance.

The play tells the story of the critically celebrated but unsuccessful
novelist Eric Weiss, whose life drastically changes when his new,
autobiographical novel becomes a best-seller. An outsider all this life,
he is suddenly on the inside of everything:  town cars, television
studios, the Sunday book review. But as his career takes off, his
personal life suffers.
