Subject: TrueNorth Theatre Acting Seminar=20

LAST FREE ACTING CLASS: ACTING STYLES -=20
BRING YOUR FAVORITE ACTING STYLE MOVIE TO SHARE WITH THE CLASS ...

Question: What do Rod Steiger, Marlon Brando, Ellen Burstyn, Maureen =
Stapleton, Gene Wilder, Dustin Hoffman and Al Pacino (along with many =
other fine actors) have in common? Other than being famous movie stars?

Yes, you guessed it; they were all trained in "Method" acting. You may =
have heard of this acting technique, but what is it really all about? =
Why is it so "mysterious" and controversial? Here's your chance to find =
out! For Free!

TrueNorth is pleased to announce the beginning of Master Acting Classes =
for adults by Dr. Ronald Hill. Last free acting class before the =
semester begins! Saturday morning, 10:00 AM to Noon, August 25th. Class =
is offered at TrueNorth in Avon Lake. (33491 Lake Road, just west of =
Moore road ... next to the old Avon lake movie theatre)

Whether you are an interested theatergoer, a community theatre actor, an =
acting student, or a seasoned professional, you will enjoy Dr. Hill and =
gain insights into improving your own acting/performing technique. =
Subjects to be included:

1.. How to Act More Creatively: Focusing Your Intuition.=20
2.. Creating Your Own Acting Technique: Applying the Best Traditions =
to Your Work.=20
3.. Exploring Styles In Acting: How to Make Your Acting Technique =
Work In A Variety of Plays.

  Bio for Dr. Ron Hill:=20
Dr. Hill has over 30 years of experience in the theatre as an actor, =
director, designer and teacher. Before his recent move to the Cleveland =
area he was doing research in New York City. In New York he studied The =
Method as taught by John Strasberg (son of Lee Strasberg) as well as =
serving on the board of the American Playwrights Theatre and on the =
Directors Committee of the 13th Street Repertory Theatre. Dr. Hill =
began his career in theatre at the Pittsburgh Playhouse before returning =
the Northwest, where he grew up. In Portland, Oregon he founded and =
operated a non-profit regional theatre. Dr. Hill holds a BFA in acting =
and an MFA in directing, in addition to his Ph.D. in theatre. He is =
also a member of the Society of Stage Directors and Choreographers. =20
