Character  Creation through Movement (10th grade -  Adult)=20

Saturday, December 1, 2007, 1:00 =E2=80=93 4:00pm

This  workshop will explore a variety of techniques to help the actor=20
discover  character through movement based work.  We will be drawing from th=
e =20
teachings of Augusto Boal, Michael Chekhov, and Libby Appel.  Students  shou=
ld come=20
with a prepared monologue and character to work from.  Students  should dres=
s=20
in comfortable clothes and be prepared to move.=20
Arian  Lara Steiner  is a recent graduate of Otterbein College in Columbus,=20

).  Last summer she studied acting at The  Atlantic Theater Company in New Y=

City.  Arian just finished playing Puck in A Midsummer Night=E2=80=99s Dream=
 at the=20
Actor=E2=80=99s  Theater of Columbus. Favorite roles include Amelia in House=
 of=20
Bernarda Alba and Fairy May in  A Curious Savage.  Arian has assistant taugh=
t classes=20
with  Jill Wadsworth at Carnegie Mellon=E2=80=99s Pre-College drama program.=
  She=20
also taught young actors at the  Pittsburgh Public Theater and The Center fo=
r=20
Theater Arts.  This past year she was the student  teacher in two theater cl=
asses=20
at Otterbein College. This past summer Arian  taught for the Professional=20
Training Workshop at Fairmount Performing Arts  Camp.   Her training include=
