Weathervane Playhouse Announces

AUDITIONS - OPEN CALL for

AMAHL AND THE NIGHT VISITORS

Weathervane Playhouse will hold OPEN CALL AUDITIONS for Gian Carlo =
Menotti's beloved opera AMAHL AND THE NIGHT VISITORS. Auditions will be =
held at Weathervane Playhouse, 1301 Weathervane Lane (in the Valley off =
Merriman Road) on Friday, October 5, from 7 - 9 p.m. and Sunday, October =
7, from 2- 4 p.m.=20

Auditioners are asked to prepare a passage from one of the opera's =
roles. Another selection will be acceptable as well. If using other =
music, please bring sheet music in the correct key; an accompanist will =
be provided.

Needed:

Boy soprano - Amahl

Soprano/Mezzo Soprano - Mother

3 Kings - 1 tenor, 1 baritone, 1 bass

Page - baritone/bass

16 - 20 Shepherds - soprano, alto, tenor, bass

Dancers - 1 male, 1 female (teenage or young adult)

Also looking for instrumentalists: keyboard, oboe, flute, harp

Director for the production is Sandra J. Schlub, who has directed or =
been musical director for scores of shows in northeastern Ohio. She =
studied at The Juilliard School of Music and The Ohio State University =
and holds degrees from Kent State University and Capital University =
Conservatory of Music.

Amahl and the Night Visitors will have seven performances between =
December 15 - 23, 2007.
