2007-2008 STOCKER ARTS CENTER SEASON OPENS THIS WEEK WITH
"Neil Berg's 100 Years of Broadway" and Cirque Le Masque!

The 2007-2008 season brings a diverse line-up of great live performances
and wonderful films to Stocker Arts Center! It opens tomorrow with

Neil Berg's 100 Years of Broadway!
Tuesday, September 25, 2007 - 7:30pm

Neil Berg's 100 Years of Broadway! is a jubilant revue of Broadway's
most beloved songs, including treasures from Jerome Kern, Rodgers and
Hammerstein, Kander and Ebb, Cole Porter, Stephen Sondheim, and Andrew
Lloyd Webber. This gala concert recreates fifty of the greatest
characters in Broadway musical history in one evening with a cast of
five acclaimed Broadway singers who have played many of the roles on
Broadway, including appearances in such shows as "THE PHANTOM OF THE
OPERA," "LES MISERABLES," "JESUS CHRIST SUPERSTAR," "FIDDLER ON THE
ROOF" and "WONDERFUL TOWN."

Neil Berg is a composer/lyricist who has produced over 1,000 Broadway
concerts across the world with such stars as Michael Crawford, Rita
Moreno, Bernadette Peters, Ben Vereen, Betty Buckley, and many other
greats. He is also producing the new concert version of "THE MYSTERY OF
EDWIN DROOD" with Rupert Holmes. In addition, he is the
composer/lyricist of the Off-Broadway musical "THE PRINCE AND THE
PAUPER" (which ran 624 performances at the Lambs Theater), and the
composer of the new Broadway musical "GRUMPY OLD MEN," based on the
movie. He has also written several other musicals which have been
showcased in New York and beyond. http://www.neilberg.com/

And then the season continues next Monday with a great family event for
all ages

Cirque Le Masque
Monday, October 1, 2007 - 7:00pm
(PLEASE NOTE SPECIAL EARLY START TIME!)

Cirque Le Masque does not perform your typical everyday circus - there
are no animals and no tent. Instead it is more of a theatre circus that
pays tribute to the time-honored traditions of European Cirque troupes
and unveils its artistry through acts from around the world. Cirque Le
Masque performs Carnivale - your passport to the world's greatest party
- Rio de Janeiro. The show begins with a young tourist wandering through
the crowd with the sounds of the big city. Then the cast of artists
explodes onto the stage for the cast parade, displaying the artists and
the colorful environmental cirque dancers. As each act electrifies your
emotions, you will view the world's most exciting artists defying the
laws of gravity! The finale will unveil the tourist in a magnificent
costume followed by the entire cast in colorful costumes with upbeat
music. http://www.cirquelemasque.com/

And while you're here, don't forget to visit the Beth K. Stocker Art
Gallery where the current show is:
CONTEMPORARY EXPRESSIONS: TATTOO ART AND GRAFFITI
featuring works by Graffiti Artist Bob Peck and Tattoo Artist Dan
"Presto" Daley
on exhibit now through Sunday, October 7, 2007
Tattooing has been practiced since the ancient Egyptians, and
pre-historic cave paintings may be the earliest examples of graffiti.
This exhibit shows tattoo and graffiti art in the context of that
history. Presented by Stocker Arts Center.

Gallery Hours: Monday through Friday from 10:30am to 2:30pm and during
many of the Stocker Arts Center evening and weekend events. Gallery
