A TV script-writing team is breaking up because one of them, a former accountant, is fed up with his partner's drinking habits and thinks he can do better on his own. The drunkard, however, provides most of the ideas. He also knows about the accountant's shady past and threatens blackmail. The accountant responds by arranging the perfect murder, then taking a trip with his wife. When he returns he expects to find his partner's body and call the police with a perfect alibi. What he finds instead is very strange. When an inspector arrives to investigate, it appears there may not have been a murder. Or has there? A thriller with more twists than a corkscrew.
