Beck Center for the Arts
offers Latin Dance Master Classes
with renowned instructor Ana M. Dúmett
 
Lakewood, Ohio - Beck Center for the Arts will offer two Latin Dance master classes with renowned Latin dance expert Ana M. Dúmett.  Classes will be held at 1:30 p.m. on Sundays, October 14 and 21 in Beck Center's Creative Arts Building.  Students will explore the rhythmic styles that comprise Afro-Latin from Central American, South American, and Caribbean dance.  Tuition is $25 for both classes or $15 for a single class. Ana M. Dúmett studied ballet, popular dance and folk dance in her hometown of Lima, Peru.  Since 1980, she has danced in various companies and taught both adults and children in working-class programs.  Ana has held workshops for all age groups throughout the city, welcoming anyone who wants to learn more about Hispanic culture.  She brought her unique demonstration classes to Peru, Cuba and Europe.  Currently, she is the Program Director of the Hispanic Cultural Center of Cleveland Inc., the Director of the Hispano Danza Dance Company, the HispAna Group Director, and a Ohio Dance Board Member.  Ana teaches at various area schools and at the Escuela Popular.  
Beck Center for the Arts offers comprehensive curriculum-based arts education in Creative Arts Therapies, dance, music, theater, and visual arts, a professional theater season on two stages and gallery exhibits featuring local and regional artists.
