AUDITIONS for Musical Theatre Workshop
   
  The Creative Youth Musical Theatre announces auditions for their 4th workshop!
   
  The Creative Youth Musical Theatre  began in 2005 with the pilot production of “Lil’ Scrooge-A Moral Master Christmas Carol” which enjoyed a successful second season in 2006 and is gearing up for it’s 2007 season. CYMT is dedicated to the mission of providing opportunities for aspiring young creative writers and performers to hone and display their skills.
   
  The CYMT WORKSHOPS  are intense progressive eight (8) week clinics providing youth, ages nine(9) through sixteen(16), with the tools necessary to be successful in musical theatre. The youth learn discipline, accountability, diction, movement and creative writing while exploring music, singing and dance in an original theatrical production. Each session will conclude with an awards ceremony and original presentation given by the cast both on and off camera. 
   
            Standard Workshop Forums
  Stage Directions (Moving Onstage)
  The discipline involved in stage movements and blocking. 
  Script Study: 
  The study of the disciplines involved in script study and memorization. 
  Movement:
  Members learn coordination and endurance through line dancing and movement.
  Basic Music Fundamentals: 
  The study of basic music theory and exercise for voice and piano. 
  Creative Writing                                   
  Learning the basics required for creative writing (spoken word verse, script writing, oratory presentation) 
  Cast members also learn how to put together a performing arts resume and bio complete with 8x10 photo. 
  Audition  & Interview Study:                                        
  Study of the rudiments, techniques and disciplines involved in auditioning for productions.
  Participation, viewing and developmental critique of on and off camera interviews. 
   
  Cost for the eight (8) week program
   is 
  $100.00 payable in cash

  Audition Requirements:
  Come prepared for
  -   a cold reading to demonstrate reading level and characterization skill
  -   musical exercising to demonstrate vocalization and harmonization skills
  -   choreography to demonstrate movement skill
   
  Workshop begins: October 19, 2007 running Friday 6 -8pm   and   Saturday 11am - 2pm   and ends December 8, 2007.

  The Clinicians
   
  Clifton W. Beasley   -   Director/Music Director
  Clifton is the musical director of Cleveland’s award winning Prayer Warriors and director and author of the play “Lil’ Scrooge- A Moral Master Christmas Carol”, a musical children’s play.  With over 20 years experience in musical productions and theatre he brings a lifetime of experience to these workshops.
   
  Herb Thomas    - Producer
  Herb Thomas, founder of the Prayer Warriors, Fox 8 photo journalist and co-producer of “Neighborhood” will bring his award winning experience in on-camera productions. The children will have an opportunity to
  see themselves as others view them on camera.
   
  The on stage production of Lil’ Scrooge - A Moral Master Christmas Carol will conclude the Workshop
