 HARMONY PLAYERS ANNOUNCES 2008 SEASON
       Harmony Players at The Harmony Spot, 1227 North Main Street in North Canton is proud to present its 2008 season.  All shows open the first full weekend of every month.
   
  January 4-6,11-13   KIMBERLY AKIMBO   
       a comedy by David Lindsay-Abaire 
       Kimberly is a sixteen-year-old living with her hypochondriac mother, a rarely sober father, a scam-artist aunt, and a rare condition that ages her body much faster than it should.
       Accepting her own mortality, Kimberly must face the most terrifying challenge of all: first love.  
   
  February 1-3, 8-10, 14-17  I LOVE YOU, YOU'RE PERFECT, NOW CHANGE
       Music by Jimmy Roberts,  Lyrics and Book by Joe DiPietro
       This musical revuew examines the relationships of Man and Woman: first dates...pre-wedding cold feet.....in-laws.....children.....shopping..... football.....divorce.....anniversaries.....and starting over again.
   
  March 7-9, 14-16  BUS STOP

       Snowbound travelers spend the night in a roadside diner.
       Experience "Bus Stop" as never before!  You become part of the show as The Harmony Spot is transformed into the "Bus Stop" diner.
   
  April 4-6, 11-13, 18-20   CHILDREN'S LETTERS TO GOD
       Based on the best-seller by Stuart Hample and Eric Marshall
       Book by Stuart Hample  Music by David Evans  Lyrics by Douglas J. Cohen
       Taken directly from letters of young people writing to "the big G", this musical carries a universal message which crosses the boundaries of age, geography, and religion
   
  May 2-4, 9-11, 16-18   ARE WE THERE YET?
       Written by James Hindman, Ray Roderick, and Cheryl Stern
       Music by John Glaudini
       A parents' edition of I LOVE YOU, YOU'RE PERFECT, NOW CHANGE.  This musical revue examines the American family... childbirth...first dates...family vacations... aging parents...and what it really means to be a family.  
   
  June 6-8, 13-15  DARKSIDE
       by Ken Jones
       Two astronauts become stranded on the moon's surface.  As their crewmate in the ship works with ground control toward rescue, he faces his own anxieties while orbiting the moon's lonely dark side.
   
  July 11-13, 18-20  THE GIN GAME
       a tragi-comedy by D.L. Coburn
       At a home for the aged, Weller Martin, a self-proclaimed gin expert, invites Fonsia Dorsey, a new resident, to a game of gin rummy.  But Fonsia's persistent winning quickly turns a friendly game into Weller's obsessions.

       Based on the character and stories of Christopher Pop-In-Kins created by Flora Johnson
       A favorite Christmas tradition is adapted for the stage.  Christopher Pop-In-Kins makes his yearly visit to the Children's World.  But this year something is very wrong.  Someone has stolen the spirit of Christmas.  Can Christopher solve the mystery before Santa arrives?
