Cleveland Public Theatre announces auditions for:
Little Box 

Series directed by Christopher Johnston

 

Seeking a large, diverse cast for a staged reading series.

 

Monday, October 15th:  7:00pm - 9:30pm 

 

About Little Box:  As part of CPT's commitment to local playwrights and
producers, CPT presents a series of staged readings. This program is
modeled after our successful Big [BOX] Series but on a smaller scale,
designed to foster works at an earlier stage of development. 9 plays by
local writers will be presented as staged readings over two weeks, with
reduced ticket prices. 

 

Little Box runs from Wednesday, November 7th through Sunday, November
18th and a different play will be featured each evening.  Rehearsal
times will vary, with approximately 2 rehearsals prior to the
performance date for each staged reading.

Wednesday, November 7th: A Howl in the Woods by Tom Hayes, directed by
Clyde Simon

Thursday, November 8th: Optimus Prime for President by Margi Herwald
Zitelli, directed by Derek Koger

Friday, November 9th: Becomes You by Greg Vovos, directed by Mindy
Childress Herman and

Let's Talk by Renee Matthews-Jackson, directed by Eva Withers-Evans

Sunday, November 11th: Ictus by Barbara Becker, directed by Rose A.
Leininger

Thursday, November 15th: Modern Problems by Steve Maistros, directed by
Christopher Johnston

Friday, November 16th: U.S. v. Howard Mechanic by Faye Sholiton,
directed by Bill Hoffman

Saturday, November 17th: From the Seriously Messed-Up Stash of Mr. James
Henke by David Hansen, directed by Kelly Elliott

Sunday, November 18th: Baciare e Ballare (Kissing and Dancing) by Lisa
Siciliano, directed by Rose A. Leininger




 

Auditioners should come prepared to read from the script. Monologues and
appointments are not necessary. 

 

Please arrive as close to 7:00pm as possible to sign up.  Please bring
4-5 copies of your headshot and resume if possible. 

 

Showtimes are Wednesday, Thursday, Friday and Saturday at 7:30pm,
Sundays at 3:00pm
Please note: There will be NO Little Box performance on Saturday,
November 10th. 

 

Auditions will take place at Cleveland Public Theatre; 6415 Detroit
Ave., Cleveland, OH, 44102.
