Back by popular demand, Canton Cabaret Musical Dinner Theatre proudly
presents two encore performances of "A Tribute to Hank Williams: The Concert
that Never Was," an original production featuring local musician, Ryan
Humbert in the lead role, and narration by award-winning columnist and
storyteller, Charita Goshay. The performances are scheduled for Saturday,
November 17th at 2:30pm (dinner) with 3:30pm show, and at 7pm (dinner) with
8pm show. Tickets for dinner and show are $42.50, and show-only tickets are
$25. A 10% discount applies for reservations of a table for eight. Tickets
are available by phone at 330.499.6177; by email at at
ldigiacomo at rainbowrepertory.com; or in person at 2nd April galerie, 209 6th
St NW, just one block east of the ballroom.

Humbert and band will once again create the concert that Hank Williams, Sr.
would have produced here on January 1, 1953, including 22 of Hank's hits. On
December 31, 1952, country music legend, Hank Williams, was traveling to
Canton, Ohio for a concert slated as The Biggest Jamboree of '53. However,
Hank died in the back seat of a Cadillac on the way to the show. The concert
went on without him, with over 4,000 in attendance.

The production site, Metropolitan Centre's Grand Ballroom, has been restored
to its 1926 grandeur, including the original chandeliers (photos at
www.cantoncabaret.com <http://www.cantoncabaret.com/> ). The venue is
handicap accessible and offers free parking at the door.

The meal includes a sit-down, home-style dinner of Hank's favorite dishes,
specially researched and prepared by Chef Scott Welch of Chronicles
Restaurant. The menu includes: mini BBQ pork sandwiches, bourbon-roasted
baked beans, jambalaya with sausage, shrimp and chicken, tomato-cucumber
salad, potato salad, coleslaw, cornbread, bread pudding, iced tea, and
coffee.

Canton Cabaret, partially funded by ArtsInStark, the county Arts Council, is
a production arm of the Rainbow Repertory Company.
