The Chagrin Light Orchestra (Chagrin Light) has announced its 2007-08 season
that will begin in October with a pirate-themed concert. "Landlubber's
DeLight: A Pirate's Life for Ye, " scheduled for October 20, 2007 at 8 p.m.,
will feature popular pirate scores including Pirates of the Caribbrean,
Pirates of Penzance, John Williams' Flight to Neverland from Hook and
Rimsky-Korsakov's Sheherezade: Sinbad's Ship Breaks Against the Cliff.
As the name suggests, Chagrin Light strives to celebrate music in an
enlightening and experiential format. "We inject stories and fun in to our
concerts to establish a communication and connection between the performers
and the audience," notes Stephen Eva, musical director for the orchestra.
"We hope that, by celebrating the art of music through interactive
performances, we are exposing a larger audience-both young and old-to live
musical experiences."
"Landlubber's DeLight," the first concert of Chagrin Light's second season,
will be performed at Chagrin Valley Little Theatre, 40 River Street, Chagrin
Falls, Ohio. Tickets for the 8 p.m. concert are $25; a patron reception,
beginning at 7 p.m. and including concert ticket and admittance to a social
gathering of Chagrin Light supporters, is available for $50. Tickets may be
