Jody Hawk has been working as a photographer and artist since 1995. Her most recent exhibits spring from her ongoing "Objects of Desire" project. Her multimedia installations, described by Dorothy Shimm of The Akron Beacon Journal as "reliquaries,"
explore inner landscape, making us of found objects and sound to involve multiple senses. The exhibit currently featured at Arts Collinwood Gallery will include new installation pieces and some large landscape work picturing found objects.

Ms Hawk attended the University of Akron where she obtained a BFA with honors. She earned her MFA in Boston, MA at the Massachusetts College of Art. Formerly at Massachusetts College of Art and Furman University in Greenville, SC, she presently teaches at both Lake Erie College and the University of Akron.
