Lorain County Metro Parks and TrueNorth Cultural Arts are pleased to present the internationally acclaimed play ART by Yasmina Reza at the French Creek Nature Center with a Preview on Thursday, November 8, followed by performances on November 9, 10, 16 and 17 at 7:30pm and on November 11 at 3pm.

This is the first theatrical performance at French Creek Nature Center and is part of the partnership between Lorain County Metro Parks and TrueNorth Cultural Arts that was created earlier this year. Tickets are on sale now for $10 and can be purchased by calling (440) 949-5200 or 1-800-LCM-PARK or online at www.LorainCountyMetroParks.com or www.TNCArts.org.

At first, ART sounds so simple. Three men and a painting. Not so when one buys an expensive painting that his best friend can't comprehend. When a third friend tries to make it work out, quarrels break out and the trio is forced to look beyond the surface...of art...of friendship. At issue, in part, is the famous question: "What is art?"

ART made its U.S. debut on Broadway in 1998, and won the Tony Award for Best Play the same year. It is a satisfying comedy that is not only thought provoking, but also laugh-out-loud funny. Its themes of friendship, freedom, and value, as well as the situations Ms. Reza puts her characters in, are universal in their appeal, making Art a comedy which almost everyone can relate to.

This debut performance is directed by Marc Moritz and staring Brian Bartels as Marc, Robert Hawkes as Serge and Bob Kenderes as Yvan.

Please note: this play contains mature language, comparable to PG-13 rating

French Creek Nature Center is located at 4530 Colorado Ave, Sheffield Village, just 10 minutes west of Crocker Park with easy access from I-90. For more information or to purchase tickets, call (440) 949-5200 or 1-800-LCM-PARK.
