An ingénue, almost completely naive young woman. Devoted to the memory
of her deceased physician father, she is monomaniacally focused on
becoming a physician. Socially inept and uncomfortable around peers, she
spends all her time at the library or in her dorm room she shares with
Darius' sister: Daria. She is first academically and holds a prestigious
scholarship which pays ALL her expenses, and carries with it a
guarantied appointment to Johns Hopkins Medical School.

Role Description: 

The youngest of a set of fraternal twins. She and her brother are polar
opposites. She is enrolled in the Premed program like her "big" brother,
but unlike him is NOT in the honors program. Daria enjoys her freedom
from her strict father, and knows that if she screws up, her brother
(Darius) will fix it for her. A party girl, who only studies enough to
"get by", she is a hedonist, and spends most of her free time away from
campus relishing all the opportunities and outlets that college has to
offer.

Audition Specifics: 

We will be holding auditions at the North Coast Productions Talent
Agency office. The address is: 4913 Storer Ave. Cleveland, OH 44102. The
auditions will start at 1:15pm, with doors open at 1:00pm.  We will be
holding two rounds of auditions that day, so expect to be there through
5:00pm if you make it to the second round of auditions. 

Technical Summary 
College Daze is an internet-delivered (streaming) episodic serial
starting production fourth quarter 2007 / first quarter 2008..  It is a
four person ensemble dramedy (Drama Comedy) set in Cleveland and the
production company is looking to cast the four ensemble leads (two male
/ two female) for the pilot episode (1 hour) and episode #2 (1/2 hour).
Should the series be picked up after the pilot, the series is proposed
to run for three seasons with an option for a fourth.  The series will
be shot in HD on location in Cleveland.  The actors will be paid per
episode, and under contract for the full run of the series. 

Story Summary 
College Daze can be compared to the iconic 1970's series "The Paper
Chase" crossed with "Grey's Anatomy".  This is a episodic serial
(dramedy) about four freshman Premed students at a major Midwestern
university competing for scholarships, academic standing, and the "gold
ring" (a guaranteed appointment to Johns Hopkins Medical School), while
transitioning from the "High School" world they are familiar with into
the unknown world of "College".  Their competition is as intense as
their life lessons are crushing.  They have four years to prove
themselves worthy of the opportunity to attend medical school while
learning what it truly means to be "grown up". 

Note:  This series deals frankly with college age adult issues,
situations, and circumstances.  Any actors interested in the role should
understand that the contract for this series will include a nudity
clause 

Audition Specifics. 

1.        Taping will be in Cleveland Ohio. 
2.        Taping will take place monthly.  You will need to come up a
couple of days before shooting for rehearsals and then shooting should
take 1-2 days.  You should figure that rehearsals and shooting will take
3-4 days out of a month. 
3.        This series is expected to run two to three seasons.  If
selected for the cast, you will need to sign a two year contract with an
option for year three. 
4.        The stories for the series will explore adult subject matter
consistent with 18-24 year old college students. 

If this project continues to hold your interest, please reply with your
availability weekends during October.  If you send an email with your
availability, we will send you an email with the exact location and time
by the end of the week.  You should prepare / bring the following. 

A.        Two copies each of a CURRENT headshot and acting / modeling
resume. 
B.        A 30-60 second dramatic monologue 
C.        A 30-60 second comedic monologue 
D.        A two-piece bathing suit 
E.        A denim, leather, corduroy, or other solid color skirt and
appropriate top. 

You should also be ready to act improvisationally in comedic, romantic,
and dramatic settings. 

Note that the auditions will be videotaped for the benefit of the
members of our casting group who cannot be present for your audition,
and if you make it through the second round of auditions, photographs
will be taken of all the finalists.
