We are in the process of returning calls to applicants for the Akron After School program in the Spring.  Meanwhile, we've added a NEW program!!

Weathervane Playhouse is in search of Teaching Artist (s) to fill openings in our SPRING Education Program in AKRON for a NEW program!  Classes run on Saturdays from 10:30 a.m.~ 11:30 a.m, January 26 ~ May 3, 2008.  Pay is $30 hourly.

    Through partnership with the Akron Public Schools, Weathervane will offer Theatre classes to 3rd, 4th and 5th graders in 10 Akron Public Elementary Schools.  The objective of this program is to give students a basic understanding of and respect for Theatre and the performing arts.  Classes are limited to 15 students, and an Akron Public School teacher will assist with the class.  Weathervane will provide curriculum and teaching materials to all teachers.  Curriculum is designed to simply "pick up and go."  Classes will be taught to each grade level for 4 consecutive classes.

Weathervane Playhouse is in search of Teaching Artist (s) to fill openings in our SPRING Education Program for:  Mondays, Wednesdays &/or Thursdays from 3:00 p.m.~ 5:00 p.m. Classes run from February 11 ~ April 4, 2008. Pay is $30 hourly.

Through partnership with the Akron After School program, Weathervane offers Theatre classes to Kindergarten students in 11 Akron Public Elementary Schools.  The objective of this program is to give students a basic understanding of and respect for Theatre and the performing arts. Weathervane will provide curriculum and teaching materials to all teachers. Curriculum is designed to simply "pick up and go." You may choose to use it in its entirety or you keep the pieces that work for you and change the rest. We also have supplementary materials available for all teachers to use in class.
