A celebratory curtain call for local comic, actor and musician John Stang will be held Saturday, January 12, 2008 from 2-4 p.m. at the Beachland Ballroom. John starred for ten years in numerous incarnations of the Bezerko Improvizational Theatre Ensemble (B.I.T.E.). He fronted the comedic rock and roll band "Johnny and the Turkees," and appeared in many area productions and venues including " Happy Birthday Wanda June" at Cleveland State University, "King Ubu" at P-Space, "The Robber Bridegroom" at Cain Park and Playhouse Square's "Alice at the Palace."

John passed away November 21, 2007 in Lehighton, Pa. from complications of a stroke. He spent many years in New York City and Pennsylvania and enjoyed post-show biz careers in hospitality management and transportation. He is survived by his wife, Lorrie Peters, and his son, Andrew.

All friends, family and former cast mates are invited to come share a story and raise a glass to this talented guy who helped make Cleveland rock - with laughter. Contact Tony Weinert, 216-228-3421 or Craig Webb, 216-398-8431 for details.
