What do The O.C.¹s Mischa Barton, Home Improvement¹s Zachery Ty Bryan, Full
House¹s Lori Loughlin, NYPD Blue¹s Rick Schroder, The Young & The Restless¹
Ashley Bashioum, Charmed and Picket Fences¹ Holly Marie Combs, Sex & the
City¹s Sarah Jessica Parker, Walk the Line and Legally Blonde¹s Reese
Witherspoon and Ricki Lake all have in common?

Peter Sklar, who has coached, directed or discovered all of the above young
stars and hundreds of others, is offering a complimentary lecture, entitled:
³So You Want To Be A PerformerŠ².

The free talk will provide life-changing insights into the relationship
between self-esteem, health and professional success, with a
behind-the-scenes look at the causes of eating disorders, stage mothers,
industry scams, and the role of talent agents and casting directors.

The lecture will be followed by personal interviews with young members of
the audience.

³So You Want to be a PerformerŠ² is based on Sklar¹s three decades of
personal experience with young performers, an Ivy League pedigree, (Masters
Degree in Education from Harvard), and his long list of successful protégés
who include Sara Jessica Parker, (HBO¹s Sex & The City), Reese Witherspoon,
(Legally Blond, Walk the Line, etc.), Mischa Barton, (Fox TV¹s O.C.), and
many others. Sklar has been the subject of multiple feature-length articles
in the New York Times, appeared as a guest expert on Donahue, was recently
interviewed on E! True Hollywood Story, and has had his work presented on
the Bravo Channel, Good Morning America, and in dozens of media outlets.
He¹s currently developing a musical entitled ³The Kid Who Played the
Palace², to be directed by William Martin, (Broadway¹s ³The Lieutenant²,
five-time Tony Award nominee).
