Saturday, January 19 at 1 p.m. and Sunday, January 20 at 1:30 p.m.

Enchanted April is the story of four very different English women who escape chilly, wet London to a modest, Italian seaside castle which they jointly rent for one fragrant April in 1922.  Middle-aged, but youthfully hopeful, Lottie has a calculating solicitor husband (Mellersh) who bullies her.  Somewhat younger, Rose, is married to a playboy romance novelist (Frederick) who suavely cheats on her.  Young Lady Caroline is a sexy and sophisticated widow who needs a little respite from the social and sexual whirl.  Old Mrs. Graves is an autocratic, snooty widow full of childhood memories of meeting her father's acquaintences.  There are also Antony, the pleasant English painter who owns the castle and Costanza, the jolly Italian housekeeper -- old but wonderfully spry and saucy.

CAST REQUIREMENTS:

5 adult women and 3 adult men

6 roles require a "British Light" accent, 1 role requires an "Oscar Wilde" British accent and 1 role requires most of the dialog to be spoken in Italian

PREPARATION:

Be prepared to read from the script, know what role you are suited for.
