Beck Center announces AUDITIONS  for.....
                      MY                                                      
   FAVORITE YEAR
(A  Wonderfully Nostalgic Musical by Flaherty and Ahrens)
 
Saturday, January 26th   Appointments begin at  2PM
Sunday,  January 27th   Appointments begin at 6PM
Call the  Beck box office to schedule an appointment.~216-521-2540~ Please 
bring one brief song w/ sheet music in  your key. An accompanist will be 
provided. You may also use a tape, but you will  need to supply your own player 
(battery operated).
A  capella singing is discouraged. There will be no dance call at the initial 
 auditions. Dance and reading will be done at callbacks Monday night, January 
 28th.

>From the  composing team that brought us RAGTIME, ONCE ON THIS ISLAND and A  
MAN OF NO IMPORTANCE. MY FAVORITE  YEAR continues to be one of the best kept 
musical  secrets around. Based on the hit movie of the same name (Starring 
Peter O'Toole  and Mark Linn Baker), this delightful musical truly captures the 
nostalgia  of 1954 using the fictitious "King Kaiser Comedy Cavalcade" as a 
stand in for  Sid Ceasar's "Your Show of Shows".
 
Beck's  production will be directed by Bill Roudebush ("Lies and Legends" and 
 last season's award winning "Equus"). Musical Direction by Larry  Goodpaster 
and Choreography by Martin Cespedes. MY  FAVORITE YEAR will have a four 
weekend  run opening May 16th and closing June 7th. Rehearsals will begin circa  
April 8th.
 
The role  of Alan Swann has been cast (Matthew Wright), but ALL other roles 
are  open. One additional AEA contract is available.  All other non-union roles 
are paid a stipend for those 18 years of age and  older.
 
Director  Bill Roudebush is looking for actors who sing (and some who move 
well) in the  age range of 16 thru 75. This is a GREAT opportunity for character 
 actors. Not all need to sing like angels.
