Cure Cabin Fever with a New Art Show at Lock 3 Park
(01/22/08) - Fight those winter doldrums with a new
event in Downtown Akron. On Saturday, February 2 from
11:00 am to 6:00 pm, the City of Akron is pleased to
present the Cabin Fever Fair at Lock 3 Park, featuring
an assortment of local artists and vendors selling
fine art, sculpture, ceramics, jewelry, and textiles.
The Cabin Fever Fair is free and open to the public,
and will take place inside the indoor ONeil Commons
area of the park. There will also be a special place
for kids with hands-on craft projects, as well as live
entertainment throughout the day. Light concessions,
German mulled wine, beer and soft drinks are available
for purchase. For a complete list of vendors and

In conjunction with Cabin Fever Fair at Lock 3 Park,
the City of Akron is also sponsoring an art walk at
Northside from 5:00-10:00 pm. A trolley will run
throughout the evening from the park to the Northside
district for shoppers convenience. For more

The Cabin Fever Fair marks the final weekend of Lock 3
Parks ice rink, Ohios largest seasonal skating rink.
The rink is open through February 3 on Thursdays,
Fridays and Saturdays from 11:00 am 9:00 pm and
Sundays from 11:00 am 6:00 pm. Admission to the Lock
3 rink is free and skate rental is only $2.00.
Lock 3 Park is located at 200 South Main Street in
Downtown Akron. Parking is free on weekends and
evenings after 6:00 pm in the State Street parking
