Auditions are coming, Auditions are coming for:  (drum roll, please!)
   
  The Mikado
(or, the Town of Titipu)
   
  Presented by the Music Department of Music at Cuyahoga Community College, Western Campus, with our friends from the Community:
   
  Audition Dates: Sunday, February 3rd, 3:00-5:00 and 6:00 - 8:00pm
              AND Sunday, February 4th, 7:00-9:00pm
  In the Band Room, WLA 122 of the Western Campus of Tri-C, 11000 Pleasant Valley Road, Parma
   
   
  All roles are open – please bring a show tune or aria to sing
  THIS IS A COMMUNITY AND COLLEGE SHOW!
   
  This show is a GIGANTIC SPOOF of Politics in the British Government, the Sappiest Love Story on the PLANET, and very silly music and characters
  probably most recently familiar as the Opera that Dudley Moore conducts in the movie Foul Play
   
  Roles include The Mikado, (bass-baritone), Ruler of all Japan?, Nanki-Poo, (tenor), The Mikado’s son, disguised as a Minstrel to escape the marital clutches of

  Katisha, (Mezzo-soprano), an elderly lady after Nanki-Poo, and  Ko-ko, (baritone) The pompous Lord High Executioner
  Pooh-Bah (baritone), The Lord Everything Else, Pish-Tush, (bari-tenor),  a Noble Lord, Go-To, (bass), a Noble Lord
  Yum-Yum,  (Soprano), Nanki-Poo’s true love, a ward of Ko-ko, first maid, Pitti-sing, (mezzo), the comic relief and the second of the three little maids
  Peep-bo, the third ward of Ko-ko / little maid
  A Chorus of School-girls, Nobles, Guards, and Other Gentlemen and Maids
   
   
  We will be in full Japanese costume and the production is staged, with a small orchestra and piano.
