"Early One Evening at the Rainbow Bar and Grille"

by Bruce Graham

Jan. 18, 19, 20, 25, 26, 27, Feb. 1, 2

Directed by Brint Learned

Once upon a time, at the end of the world, in a tiny, forgotten town just
off the exit ramp, ordinary folks face themselves, each other and the
terrifying certainty of an early and unjust end. What, exactly, is causing
the destruction of the world? No one really knows. But with certain doom
headed their way and only one TV station playing "I Love Lucy" reruns, the
patrons at the Rainbow Bar and Grille seek to live their final moments to
the fullest.

Shep (Chris Nappi), a thoughtful but depressed bartender, throws darts at
the advance check he's gotten for the sale of his first trashy novel; Roy
(Larry Gasch) wants to go to Disneyworld; Willy (Clay Nielsen) goes berserk
with a rifle; Bullard (Fred Robsel) is in search of a bomb shelter. Shirley
(Diane Jarold) has looted the local jewelry store and decked herself out in
diamonds. Health-nut Virginia (Ellie Portman) decides to try all the things
she has been missing--smoking, drinking and romance.

Throughout the day, as animals freed from the pet store run wild in the
streets, panic reigns! Inhibitions vanish! And no one knows what to do when
God walks in the door--God, who by the way, goes by the name of "Joe" (Mark
Pendleton).

With its high energy, silly jokes and quirky characters, Bruce Graham's
serio-comic tale of love, death, rebirth and a very strange book deal is an
off-beat tale that is sure to please. Performances will be held Fridays and
Saturdays at 8 p.m. Sundays at 3 p.m. Tickets are $12 patrons, $10 adults,
$9 seniors and $8 students/children. Order yours today! (440) 964-3396
