[NEohioPAL] Seeking Female Dancers

[MegLouise Dance]

AUDITION DETAILS: 
MegLouise Dance is working to assemble a cast of 4-6
dynamic, intelligent, dedicated powerhouse women for a
new production, titled Nearly Nude.  Dancers with
strong modern dance training, stage presence, improv
experience and a positive body image are strongly
encouraged to audition.

As the title implies, dancers must be comfortable
dancing in revealing costumes.  We are seeking a
diverse cast of mixed sizes, shapes and colors. 
Dancers will be encouraged to have and to express
their own opinions regarding body image in today's
society.  

We will hold a first audition on Saturday, February
16th from 4:00pm - 5:00pm at Studio 11 in Tremont. 
(2337 W 11th Street; Cleveland, OH)  There is no
charge to audition.  You may take the Intermediate
Modern Class from 2:30 - 4:00pm as a warm-up ($10 Drop
In Rate Applies).  

MegLouise Dance will also audition dancers on March
9th from 10am - 2:00pm at Sullivant Hall (1813 N High
St. Columbus, OH) in conjunction with the Ohio Dance
Festival (www.ohiodance.org).

ABOUT THE PROJECT:
Nearly Nude examines the many aspects of body image in
today's culture - laughing at unrealistic images
portrayed in the media, questioning female role models
and basking in the natural beauty of skin, curves,
muscle and bone.  The production incorporates many
viewpoints and encourages audience members to define
their own.

TRAVEL AND PAY: 
Nearly Nude will be produced in Cleveland, but may
tour to additional locations.  Let us know if you can
travel (primarily on weekends) with a production. 
Featured dancers receive a stipend per performance. 
Additional dancers may be cast as extras for local
productions.

Cincinnati Fringe Festival (Cincinnati), Sneak Reviews
at Parish Hall (Cleveland), Junction Arts Festival
(Toronto), DUMBO Dance Festival (NY), Outlet Dance
Project (NJ) and CPT's DanceWorks (Cleveland)
