FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE - February 5, 2008 - Rabbit Run Theater Auditions for
2008 Summer

 

Everything is in full swing at Rabbit Run Theater in Madison as the theater
prepares for the new 2008 summer season, and a big part of the preparations
are auditions.

 

The season's productions and audition information by show are as follows:

 

Moon Over Buffalo (comedy), by Ken Ludwig, directed by Sandy Kosovich Peck.
Production dates:  May 30 to June 14.  Available roles:  4 males, ages 18 to
60; 4 females, ages 18 to 70.  Audition dates:  Saturday, Mar. 15, 4 to 6
p.m., and Sunday, Mar. 16, 2 to 5 p.m.

 

The Whales of August (drama), a play by David Berry, directed by Yvonne E.
Pilarczyk.  Production dates:  June 20 to June 28.  Available roles:  2
males, ages 60 and up; 3 females, ages 60 and up.  Audition dates:
Saturday, Mar. 15, 1 to 4 p.m. and Sunday, Mar. 16, 1 to 4 p.m.

 

The Wind in the Willows (Youth Production) by Kenneth Grahame, adaptation,
music and new lyrics by Douglas Post, directed by Maria Lister.  Production
dates:  July 2, 3, and 5.  Auditions dates:  to be announced.

 

Titanic, the Musical, story and book by Peter Stone, music and lyrics by
Maury Yeston, directed by Brint Learned.  Production dates:  July 11 to July
27.  Available roles:  numerous roles for male and female, ages 18 and up.
(The role of Andrews is pre-cast.)  Audition dates:  Saturday, Mar. 29, 1 to
4:30 p.m., and Sunday, Mar. 30, 1 to 4:30 p.m.  There are alternative
auditions for college students whose spring break conflicts with the
regularly-scheduled auditions on Saturday, Mar. 15 and 16 from 1 to 3 p.m.
both days.

 

The final production for the season, Sleuth, by Anthony Shaffer, and
directed by Ann Hedger, is pre-cast.

 

All auditions are at Rabbit Run Community Arts Association, 49 Park St.,
Madison Village.  Auditions are by appointment only.  Actors auditioning for
a musical should prepare a short song (about 16 measures) to sing and wear
comfortable clothing for movement.  Please bring the sheet music for the
pianist.  Monologues are not required.

Rabbit Run Theater operates under the auspices of Rabbit Run Community Arts
Association, a non-profit corporation funded in part by the Ohio Arts
Council and the Lake County Visitors Bureau Arts and Culture Fund.  Rabbit
