CREATIVE ARTS WORKSHOP



Supervisor:  Mrs. Pat Haynish

Open Enrollment. No Audition required.  2 - 6th grade.



The Creative Arts Workshop is  designed to offer fun exploration of the 
creative arts for children who want a  half day experience. Fun theatre, music, 
dance and the fine arts activities will  be included! The emphasis will be on 
individual growth and a final all camp  musical theatre production. 

Campers will develop self-confidence and theatrical  skills through creative 
dramatics, improvisation and theatre games, vocal and  dance training, art and 
design projects, workshops with guest artists and a camp  talent show. 
The  Creative Arts Workshop is a daily camp program from 9:15 am until 1:00pm 
for  children entering grades 2-6.  Camp  will be in session for four weeks 
with an all camp performance on the final  Thursday evening.  Campers will be  
led by high school/college counselors for small group sessions as well as 
large  group sessions with the professional staff.




SESSION A  – Creative Arts Workshop
Four Weeks: Mondays – Fridays, June 16 -  July 11, 2008 **
9:15am – 1:00pm
Fee: $425*
**no camp on July  4

*a camp t-shirt is included  in the fee

A Typical  Day... 
9:15am Small groups meet with  counselors followed by theatre games and 
improvisation. Additionally, they will  occasionally have classes in arts and 
crafts, dance and music. 
10:00am Campers will be involved in  large and small group rehearsals and 
training for the all camp musical  production to be presented on the last 
Thursday of the session. Some time will  also be spent on set painting, props and 
costumes.  
11:30am Lunch. Students will have  time to eat their bagged lunch and 
socialize as well as play theatre and large  group games.  
12noon Putting it together – Large  group rehearsal of material and scenes 
learned in the morning. The Talent Show  will be held at this time during the 
third week of camp and parents are  invited. 
1:00pm The Creative Arts Workshop  camp day ends.
