[NEohioPAL] Agnes of God auditions

  Auditions will be held for the drama Agnes of God, directed by Don McCallister,  at Carnation City Players, 450 East Market St. Alliance Ohio on Sunday February 24 at 6:00 p.m. Needed are 3 women: Dr. Livingstone (early 30’s and older), Mother Miriam Ruth (40’s and older), and Agnes (18 and older, must be able to sing high alto/soprano). Actors will be asked to read from the script. If desired, scripts are available for perusal at Rodman Public Library in Alliance.  Those auditioning should be comfortable with mature subject matter. Those auditioning for Agnes should bring sheet music and be prepared to sing a short song. The play portrays Dr. Martha Livingstone, a court-appointed psychiatrist, determining the sanity of a young nun accused of murdering her own baby. Mother Miriam Ruth seems bent on protecting Sister Agnes from the doctor, and Dr. Livingstone’s suspicions are immediately aroused to various mysteries (who killed the baby? Who fathered the child?). Dr.
 Livingstone forces herself and the two other women to face some harsh realities in their own lives, and to reexamine the meaning of faith and the commitment of love.  Production dates are April 18-19 and 25-27.
