For Immediate Release February 16, 2008
Ed Unitsky, internationally acclaimed Master Artist from Belarus has just completed artwork for The Bargain.
The creative works of many local Cleveland talents have the additional collaboration with an artist from Belarus, (Russia) by the name of Ed Unitsky. His international acclaim is growing rapidly, and he is primarily known for his work creating CD cover art for musical groups in Europe and the USA.
Ed works in a classic and sometimes iconic art style with the use of digital art tools as well as conventional sculpture and painting techniques to create images that have caused him to be regarded as the Dali of his new century.
Eds captivating art will be incorporated as backgrounds for the show and future DVD release of the filmed and recorded the bargain show. Each artwork piece powerfully captures the essence of the show. In one of the artwork show pieces, Unitsky created his perception of the Last Supper. His artworks expressions are intended to show the Last Supper, the Crucifixion, and the ascension of Spirit. While Mr. Unitsky has definitive intentions of his Last Supper artwork, many conceptual elements within the picture are for the observer to interpret.
The Bargain is a true period drama of the Passion of the Christ set to a musical score of original contemporary music. The Bargain began as collaboration between L. Michael Breeze and David J Fox. Breezes script and Foxs music is based on the Gospel of John.
The Bargains subsequent productions and its acceptance led to its development as a full-length musical where the 25 original songs have undergone comprehensive musical arrangements by Ric Koenig and the manuscript rewritten by David Fox.
Eds mutual interest in the spiritual nature of Foxs project connected the two artists, and they agreed to work together to create another dimensional identity for The Bargain in its visual appeal through Eds interpretive artworks.
A story told by the Apostle Thomas, this tale is very familiar, and deals with the life and times of Jesus and his followers. The personal conflict and reaction to the persecution of Jesus is shared as the story unfolds his final days.
With a cast of nearly 50 people includes David J Fox as Jesus, Allison Lehr as Mary Magdalene, Will Mortenson as Peter, Chad Duwe as John, and many more gifted singers and dancers. As many as 15 members of the cast have returned to this show for their third season, with one of the principal dancers traveling from as far away as Cincinnati to join in the adventure.
The stage direction by Karen Porter, choreography by Lisa-Marie French, additional production assistance of Julie Douglass and Ken Philips, and live orchestration by the local and critically acclaimed CCM rock band Synergy, of which David Fox is a lead singer, create a truly credible and entertaining dramatic production.
.
