  Refreshments will follow the presentation.

"For over thirty years, the Untied States government called upon American citizens to testify before the House Committee on Un-American Activities, where naming names of purported communists was as commonplace as it was ruinous. Seeing Red dramatizes the actual testimony of four key witnesses, concluding with Arthur Miller, whose momentous play The Crucible serves as an allegory for these congressional hearings. What happens when the government oversteps the bounds of its power and infringes upon the rights of citizens? How do individuals respond under persecution? What parallels exist in today’s political environment? Seeing Red is designed for audiences of all backgrounds. Recommended for ages junior high and up."
