THE FANTASTICKS OPENS ON CASSIDY THEATRE’S COX COMMUNICATIONS STAGE

Parma Heights –  THE FANTASTICKS,  a show that holds the title of “The World’s Longest Running Musical” opens on the Cox Communications stage at the Cassidy Theatre tonight and runs through March 16.  Show times are at 8 p.m. Fridays and Saturdays and 3 p.m. Sundays. Tickets are $15-$20 and can be reserved by calling 440-842-4600.  THE FANTASTICKS is directed by Trinidad Snider, with musical direction by Michael Caraffi, choreography by Jennifer Glowe and costumes by David Glowe.

A story of young love and the games that parents play, THE FANTASTICKS opened at NYC’s Sullivan Street Playhouse on May 5, 1960 and ran for a record 17,162 consecutive performances, closing on January 13, 2002.  The show features the songs “Try to Remember” and “Soon It’s Gonna Rain”.
  
The Cassidy production  stars Shannon O’Boyle as “Luisa”, Mark A. McCarthy as “Matt”, Tom Castro as “Hucklebee”, Jeffrey E.Braun as “Bellomy”, Mike Snider as “El Gallo”, Tommy Suleiman as “Mortimer”, David Glowe as “The Mute” and Kent Overton as “Henry”. Set and lighting design is by Meghan Mohler with sound design by Christopher Wallace.

Cassidy Theatre is located in the Greenbrier Commons, 6200 Pearl Road, Parma Heights.  Master Card, Visa and Discover are accepted.  Advance reservations are strongly suggested and can be made by calling the Advance Sale Box Office at 440-842-4600 on Monday, Tuesday, Thursday and Friday between the hours of 9 a.m. and 4p.m.  Handicapped Accessible.
