SILENT AUCTION, FASHION SHOW BENEFITS OHIO YOUTH BALLET

CANAL FULTON, Ohio -- Each year, the major fundraising event for the Ohio
Youth Ballet gets more entertaining and exciting - and that's exactly what
this year's silent auction and fashion show is shaping up to be.

Not only are guests in for an evening of fine dining and exceptional dance
performances Friday, April 4, but a silent auction, music, basket raffle and
50-50 drawing are all scheduled.

Tickets are available now for "Dancing with the Stars" Silent Auction, which
begins at 6 p.m. at Glenmoor Country Club, 4191 Glenmoor Road, N.W. Canton.

Both the Youth Ballet and Dance Team divisions of the Ohio Youth
Ballet will perform. Students from The Turning Pointe School of Dance have
been invited to dance, and talented ballroom dance instructor Joseph
Rittenhouse will provide a demonstration with former OYB member and Turning
Pointe instructor Heather Mihal. Rittenhouse, who was certified at a Fred
Astaire studio and has trained with top professionals, teaches ballroom and
Latin dance courses at the University of Akron. He once managed three
studios in Orlando and has competed as a professional couple at the World
Salsa Quarterfinals in 2001. Guests will be invited to learn some ballroom
patterns.

Tiwatha Murdock, chairperson of the event, invites everyone to "come and
build a memory with us. As a community, it is important that we support each
other, especially our youth. This event will be full of excitement,
entertainment, food, fashion, music, and dancing from the Ohio Youth Ballet,
the OYB dance team, and special guests. We sincerely hope that you will join
us for this extraordinary fund raiser. Be prepared to enjoy yourself."

"Dancing with the Stars" Silent Auction is the major benefit for the
non-profit pre-professional OYB. Funds raised go toward outreach programs,
costumes, studio rental, choreography, promotions, rehearsals and other
areas.

Companies and individuals can still make donations of auction items, or
become sponsors to help make the evening even more of a success.

Tickets are $75; and $125 per couple. Dinner is included. For more
information, call 330-854-1417. Ticket request forms are available at

CANAL FULTON, Ohio - Dancers ages 8 through 20 from throughout Northeast
Ohio will have the opportunity this spring to join the pre-professional Ohio
Youth Ballet.

The company will have auditions for the youth ballet division and dance team
division. As members of this truly unique non-profit organization, dancers
not only perform in original performances, but share their talent and love
for dance with the OYB's active outreach program. In fulfilling the OYB's
mission of "Bringing Dance to the People," dancers educate and entertain
community members at nursing homes, libraries, schools, theatres and
festivals.

Auditions are at 1 p.m. on April 20 and May 4 at The Turning Pointe School
of Dance, 2387 Locust St. S., Canal Fulton, Ohio. Dancers are asked to
arrive at 12:30 p.m. Dancers are recommended to come dressed in proper
attire with fee and registration form in hand.

OYB auditions are open to girls and boys ages 8-20. Detailed information
plus registration forms are available at the dance studio. Call
330-854-1417, visit www.ohioyouthballet.com or e-mail
ohioyouthballet at turningpointeschoolofdance.net. Fee is $10 exact cash or
check made payable to the OYB.

Students will train under and learn classical ballets and originally
choreography from artistic directors Natalya Vyashenko-Connor and Desmond
Beasley, as well as special guest choreographers.

Ohio Youth Ballet members have gone on to join professional companies, and
the OYB has opened many other doors for students, as well. Dancers have won
prestigious competitions; have received summer training scholarships with
professional dance companies; and have received college scholarships in
dance, musical theatre, and other fields. Others can be seen on Broadway and
regional theatre, MTV videos and more.
