Calling All Creative High School Students:

Imagine a summer job that pays you to do what you love: create art, music,
dance, and drama that inspires, moves, and enriches those around you.

ArtWorks is a summer internship program that hires Northeast Ohio high
school students to apprentice with some of Cleveland's most dynamic
professional artists, musicians, dancers, and actors.

Held for six weeks over the summer, ArtWorks provides apprentices with:

> Hands-on skills in a chosen art discipline

> Valuable job training that will benefit any career

> Resources for navigating the college admissions and financial aid
processes

> Opportunities to showcase finished work in public performances and
exhibits

> Access to representatives from the business, cultural, and civic
communities who will share inspirational stories of how the arts have made a
difference in their professional and personal lives

Who Can Apply?

Any high school student entering 10th, 11th, or 12th grade is eligible to
apply. Graduating seniors are ineligible. No prior arts experience is
necessary - we simply are looking for hardworking people who believe that
working in the arts might be fun. Students must submit an application on
time and be interviewed to be considered for the program. Applications are
due by Thursday, April 3, 2008.

ArtWorks will operate June 18-July 31, Monday-Friday, 9 AM - 4 PM, though
some Saturdays and evenings are required for performances/exhibits. The
program will take place mostly outdoors in tents on Wade Oval in University
Circle, Cleveland. Applications must be submitted no later than 5PM on
Thursday, April 3, 2008.

Apprentice applications are now available and can be downloaded from
www.yaneo.org. For more information contact Kristan Oelbracht, ArtWorks
Program Manager, at 216-561-5005 x 21 or kristan at yaneo.org.
