    Whose Line IS it? An Intro to Improvisation  Ages:13-18               Tuesdays                 6:00-7:00pm                                    
    Have you ever wanted to learn the craft of improvisation, currently one of the most popular performance art forms around?  Would you like to know the secrets and tricks of the Improv trade?  This course will guide students through discovering the fundamentals of improvisation, improving storytelling skills, and learning techniques to think quickly on their feet and to be uniquely creative.   Through coaching, warm-up exercises, performance games and basic short-form scene-work, students will learn how to be more spontaneous, trusting and cooperative and how to listen in a fun, creative atmosphere.
  Fee: $180
     It Builds Character!  The Basics of Character Development
  Ages: 13-18              Thursdays                6:30-7:30pm                                    
  Characters are the heart of every theatrical production!  Their individuality is what readers or audiences most remember, and it is their actions that tell the story.  It’s definitely a challenge—crafting real characters with only the words and descriptions in a script to guide you—but if you can learn to master background building, play analysis, and physical and vocal experimentation, you’ll be well on your way to creating a character that is believable, compelling, and possibly unforgettable!
  Fee: $180 – Supplies: Bring a notebook and writing utensil!
  Write What You Know!  A Workshop in Creative Non-Fiction
    Ages:13-18               Friday                        10:00-11:30pm                    
  In a world full of fascinating truths, who needs fiction?  This course encourages students to use their own experiences as the basis of their most creative writing work.  Students will explore creative non-fiction writing styles such as memoir, reflective writing, narrative, persuasive, literary journalism, and personal opinion.  Course work will include discussions and study of the techniques, styles and approaches of professional writers, and employ a workshop format to encourage constructive peer evaluation.
  Fee: $175 – Supplies: Bring a notebook and writing utensil!
    Theatre for Beginners
  Ages K-2                  Fridays          12:00-1:00pm                                   
  Welcome your child to the wonderful world of theatre!  In this comprehensive beginner’s course, students will learn basic theatre vocabulary, practice movement and storytelling, learn the roles and responsibilities of an audience and an actor, and participate in educational, theatre-specific games to encourage creativity and place the world of theatre into the context of their world.  Come and join the fun!
