Matthew James Murphy has been back in the Cleveland area for three years now teaching more than 50 students a week Guitar/Piano lessons while pursuing his career in song writing. Matthew performed as an actor in the show RENT on Broadway for three years and has made numerous appearances on Late night with Conan O Brien before leaving to focus on writing. Matthew has recently placed his original songs on National TV shows. Credits include,  Laguna beach (MTV), Paradise City (E Network), Wedding SOS (TLC) and Auto B Good (PBS). Matthew is currently developing his own Entertainment consulting company, more an that this coming fall.

LESSONS: 


Matthew teaches a non-classical style to beginners of all ages and also teachers singers how to accompany themselves with chords on Guitar/Piano. Matthew does teach the basics and will teach the treble bass clefs. Lessons are given at students home/apartment. Majority of lessons are a half hour, but some are for an hour/45min.
