TECHNICAL DIRECTOR – Department of Theatre and Dance, The College of
Wooster. Full-time, 9-month staff position to begin August 2008.
Position responsibilities include one design (scenery, lighting or
sound) per year; technical direction for two theatre and two dance
mainstage productions, as well as Senior thesis performances;
construction of all scenery and light hang for all productions;
maintenance of scene shop, theatre facilities and equipment; monitoring
of inventory and safety of all students; balancing production budget;
instruction and supervision of scene shop employees and lab students.
Skills in supervising stage management a major plus. MA/MFA in Technical
Direction or Theatre Technology and supervisory experience expected;
BA/BFA with considerable professional experience considered. Competitive
