SRTC’S SUMMER WORKSHOP 2008 ANNOUNCES AUDITIONS FOR “CHILDREN OF EDEN”


St. Richard Theatre Company will hold a six-week performance-based musical theatre workshop concluding with performances of Stephen Schwartz and John Caird’s CHILDREN OF EDEN, a joyous, inspirational and humorous look at the age-old conflict between parents and children, from June 23 through August 3, 2008. 

Under the direction of Nathan A. Lilly, Artistic Director of St. Richard Theatre Company, our intense musical theatre workshop is open to ANY high school student (entering grades nine through twelve for 2008-2009 school year), as well as recent high school graduates. Throughout the rehearsal process, students will participate in workshops studying voice, acting, dance, stage movement, AND MORE. Each student will have the opportunity to expand skills as young artists, build confidence as performers, receive one-on-one training from professional theatre artists, and showcase their individual artistic strengths in our production of CHILDREN OF EDEN.  

Prior to auditioning, students must enroll for the summer program. Registration forms and additional information on our exciting musical theatre program can be found at www.srtcdrama.org or by sending a request for more information to srsdrama at yahoo.com. 


Registration forms are now being accepted, and can also be accepted at the time of the audition. Since enrollment is limited, students are strongly encouraged to register early. (Enrollment fees apply.)



AUDITIONS WILL BE HELD ON MONDAY, JUNE 9, 2008, from 6 p.m. to 10 p.m. at St. Richard School, 26855 Lorain Road, in North Olmsted, Ohio. No preparation is necessary for the audition, but it is requested that students come familiar with the show.



NOTE: Auditions for CHILDREN OF EDEN will NOT determine placement in the summer program, but WILL determine casting for the production. All students who enroll in the summer program WILL be cast in the production. 

Rehearsals for CHILDREN OF EDEN will be held June 23 through July 31, Mondays through Thursdays, from 5 p.m. to 10 p.m., with performances August 1 – 3, 2008.
