FOURTH WALL PRODUCTIONS RELEASES THE BANK GUARDS TRAILER
MOTION PICTURE-ESQUE PUBLICITY TRAILER ON MYSPACE/YOUTUBE

(May, 2008) When Fourth Wall Productions first formed in 2004, they knew that in order to get a younger audience into plays (that even the theatre world never heard of) they were going to have to advertise in a different way. It wasn’t until their 2007 Spring show, All the Way From China by Barry Levey that Fourth Wall finally got the necessary means to begin filming “movie-like” trailers for their shows.

You can watch the trailer for Matthew A. Sprosty’s The Bank Guards here:

and, view The Bank Guards trailer and all past trailers at:

The trailers are written by Matthew A. Sprosty. Once written, Rebecca Cole and Justin Tatum work around rehearsals to film the trailer, and then Tatum edits the trailer for release.

With these trailers, we hope to curb some of the apprehension theatre-goers feel in going to see new plays. They can now watch filmed advertisements that give the look-and-feel of the production.

Matthew A. Sprosty’s The Bank Guards opens May 16th and runs until June 1st.

ABOUT THE BANK GUARDS

The Bank Guards is a drama about deceit, greed, and testosterone centering around five security guards posted at the fictional “Cleveland Federal” bank. Desperate, and convinced, that they deserve more compensation than their twenty-seven thousand dollar paychecks to protect the wealthiest of Cleveland’s money- they decide to rob their own bank. The Bank Guards is set the night before the robbery where they come together to finalize their plans. Unfortunately, they’re about to realize that sometimes the best laid plans fall flat. And, when one guard is late to show up, while another unexpected visitor arrives, they must begin to wonder why some of them seem to know more about what’s going on than others.

ABOUT FOURTH WALL PRODUCTIONS

Fourth Wall Productions is one of Cleveland ’s newest theatre companies whose main goal is to engage a younger audience into the wonderful world of theatre by using unpublished / unknown plays. The Founding Members of Fourth Wall all went to Ohio University together, and formed their company from the different departments the School of Theatre had to offer. Putting together Ohio University and Cleveland-area talent, Fourth Wall’s goal is to continue to do a type of theatre that will connect with an audience in the 16-35 age range, yet will entertain an audience of all ages. It’s through Fourth Wall’s introduction of theatre, and friendship with other regional theatres, that they hope to broaden theatre appreciation within the Cleveland community, and build upon Cleveland ’s theatre reputation for new works.
