[NEohioPAL] AUDITIONS FOR STUDENT FILM PROJECTS

The Tri-C Department of Visual Communication and Design is seeking actors to participate in an exciting ten-week advanced production course this summer. Actors will be acting in original scripts and adaptations, resulting in finished short films which will be shopped to various festivals, producers, etc.
 
We are looking for ages ranging from 4 to mid 60s. 
 
Actors will not receive payment, but will receive onscreen credit and copy of finished film(s). 
 
Auditions will be held Wednesday, June 4, 9am to 3:30pm on the Tri-C Metro campus. Actors will be reading through entire short scripts and should be prepared to stay for at least one hour.

Film projects will include:
 
EVIL DUMMY: A Twilight Zone like episode that explores what happens when a good cop/bad cop team is corrupted by a possessed ventriloquist's dummy.
 
THE KILLERS: An adaptation of Ernest Hemingway's short story. The patrons of a small time diner are terrorized by a pair of 

 

KID'S STUDIO TV PILOT: Children are brought together by two older child hosts, who fly around in a spaceship they have dreamed up.  The hosts' figure out that there are other kids (shown on flat panel monitors inside of ship) of different ethnicities and nationalities who are also dreaming and doing things to help create a better world.

 

UNTITLED ROMANTIC COMEDY: A short romantic comedy chronicling a boy's search for flowers and love. Voices a commentary on homophobia in a comedic manner reminiscent of a Wes Anderson film.

 

THE TELL-TALE HEART: An adaptation of Edgar Allen Poe's short horror story about a man obsessed by guilt and madness.

 

BLOOD ON THE HELP DESK PHONE: A help desk technician for a mob family is targeted by a hitman tasked with recovering a disk with sensitive information.
