This is a free annual event...and a lot of fun!
5th Annual Shaker Summer Solstice Festival on June 21, 2008 5-10 P.M.
The Shaker Heights Arts Council and the City of Shaker Heights invite you to
celebrate the longest day of the year. Art will be the theme with
activities for children, street performers, and hand-crafted creations from
community artisans. At dusk, join our annual drum circle around a glowing
bonfire.
Scheduled musical performances include the musical drums of Steel Panic,
Workmen's Circle Klezmer Orchestra, Skatastrophes, an up and coming
ska-pop-punk band, Mo' Mojo Mama, a New-Orleans style zydeco band and the
rich bass voice of William Clarence Marshall.
WHEN: Saturday, June 21, 5-10 P.M., rain or shine.
WHERE: Shaker Heights Community Colonnade, 3450 Lee Road (between Chagrin
and Van Aken Boulevards).
ADMISSION: Free and open to the public. Bring a lawn chair or blanket.
