My name is Adam Kern; I'm an actor originally from the North Canton area. 
 
I'm back in town for a few weeks and will be offering my services as a  
singing teacher. 
 
Info:
Half hour for $30, Hour for $50.
 
Specialty in Musical Theatre repertoire: legit, contemporary and pop/rock  
styles.
Not versed in Classical music, but can coach on tone and support  issues.
 
I will be most helpful for those that want help finding a stronger support  
system, for those that want vocal exercise work, and for those who would like 
to  find healthier and more sustainable voice in difficult musical genres, 
ie...rock  and belting. I can also advise on good audition cuts.
 
This is for intermediate level and above, please know how to read music and  
have one or two songs ready to work on. 
 
Based in Fitzmaurice voice work and some Linklater, and body awareness  
through Alexander work. 
 
Credentials:
MFA Acting from the Moscow Art Theatre
Certificate from the American Repertory Theatre's 
Institute for Advanced Theatre Training at Harvard University
BFA Musical Theatre from Kent State University, Main and  Stark Campus
Fitzmaurice Certification will be achieved in 2010.
 
6 years experience teaching/coaching privately- past student references  
available upon request.
2 years training with Fitzmaurice master teacher Nancy Houfek
