OHIO YOUTH BALLET DANCES IN BRUNSWICK SCHOOL DISTRICT'S 'BRINGING IT ON'

 

The Ohio Youth Ballet and Turning Pointe School of Dance students will
participate in a free family-oriented event 1-2:30 p.m. Sunday, June 22 at
the Brunswick Schools Performing Arts Theatre, 3555 Center Road, Brunswick,
Ohio, as part of Brunswick City School District's "Bringing It On."  

 

The students will perform on the final day of the four-day event, which has
performances and demonstrations from musicians, martial artists, gymnasts
and many other dancers and performers. NASA and universities also are
scheduled to provide engineering demonstrations.

 

The OYB is a pre-professional non-profit dance company which has both youth
ballet and dance team divisions. Dancers train at The Turning Pointe School
of Dance in Canal Fulton. The OYB's mission is "bringing dance to the
people" through outreach programs at libraries, nursing homes, schools,
festivals and other venues. Many OYB members have gone on to receive college
scholarships, dance professionally and teach.
