Workshop Players Theatre-in-the-Round announces auditions for David Hyer's
"Lying In State. This fast paced, political farce is an ideal fit for this
presidential campaign season. "Lying in State" is inspired by the 2000
Missouri election that had a deceased Senate candidate actually defeat John
Ashcroft, who later became the United States Attorney General. The
absurdity of that election must have tickled the funny bone of
playwright David Hyer, who then penned this delightful comedy."
At a time when every other news report seems to have something to do with
elections and the presidential campaign, now is a good time to poke fun at
politicos. After all, if you can't laugh at what is going on in Washington,
you'll cry!!

Performance dates are September 11 through September 28.

Auditions dates are Sunday, June 29 from 7 p.m. to 9 p.m. and Monday, June
30 from 7 p.m. to 9 p.m. at the Workshop Players theatre, located at 44820
Middle Ridge Road in Amherst.
