CASSIDY THEATRE KICKS  OFF  
FIRST SUMMER AS INDEPENDENT THEATRE   
WITH MUSICAL  GREASE 
 

 
Parma  Heights – The Cassidy Theatre  presents the hit musical Grease, 
Friday, July  11th – Sunday, July 27th.  Friday and Saturday  shows are at 8 p.m., 
Sundays at 3 p.m. Tickets are $20 for Adults and  $15 for Students and Seniors 
and are available by calling the Cassidy box  office at (440) 842-4600 or at 
the door.  Reservations are  strongly suggested.  The Cassidy Theatre is 
located at 6200 Pearl Rd. in  Parma  Heights.  Grease is Directed by Kevin Joseph  
Kelly, Musical Direction is by Heidi Herczeg with Choreography by Jennifer  
Glowe, Costumes by David Glowe, Set Design by Meghan Mohler, Light Design by  
Marcus Dana, Sound Design by Eric Simna with Tod Huffman as Stage  Manager.
 

 
This is the first Summer that the Cassidy Theatre will  operate as a 
separate, non-profit theatre company, now known as Cassidy  Theatre Inc., since 
becoming independent from the City of Parma Heights this  year.  Director Kevin 
Joseph Kelly says Grease is a great way to  start a fun Summer Theatre Season at 
the newly independent theatre.   “It’s a perfect summer show to do” he says.  “
It’s a lot of fun and the  summer craves something for everybody to go to.  
It really is a family  show.”  Kelly adds “Now that the Cassidy is an 
independent theatre, I  think it’s a great way to bring new people into the theatre 
who may be there  for the first time.”
 

 
Grease is a musical by Jim Jacobs and Warren  Casey. Set in 1959 in fictional 
Rydell High in Chicago, the show focuses on the romance  between high 
schoolers Danny Zuko and Sandy Dumbrowski and tackles such social  issues as teenage 
pregnancy and gang violence; its themes include love,  friendship, teenage 
rebellion, sexual exploration during adolescence and, to  some extent, class 
consciousness/class conflict. The show's score celebrates  '50s rock and roll as 
well as doo-wop and other contemporary styles.  
 

 
The Cassidy Theatre production stars Nicholas Pender  as Danny, Jacqueline 
Komos as Sandy, Eric Fancher as Kenickie, Devon Shriver  as Rizzo, Mack Shirilla 
as Doody, Debbie Lalli as Frenchy, Cody Zak as Sonny,  Amanda Stefanik as 
Marty, Tommy Suleiman as Roger, Laurel Roether as Jan,  Tarah Reim as Cha-Cha, 
Jen Soucie as Patty, Kate Michalski as Miss Lynch,  Andrew Parmelee as Teen 
Angel/Johnny Casino, David Glowe as Vince Fontaine,  Robbie Lewis as Eugene with 
Andrew J. Gorgeny, Hilary Hapgood, Jeff Sneed,  Cheryl Winslow, Kelsey 
Hamilton, Beth Bebenroth, Rachel Galambos, Kelley  Carney and Sarah Riolo.
 
The Cassidy Theatre is generously funded by  the Cuyahoga County residents 
through Cuyahoga Arts and  Culture.
