Free Family Theatre in the Parks!

 

CPT Executive Artistic Director Raymond Bobgan is proud to present While
I'm Here on This Earth, an original work that will be presented free of
charge at parks throughout the city of Cleveland from July 31 - August
10. STEP engages inner-city teens in a rigorous and fun theatrical
journey, focusing on excellence in performance, play creation, writing,
and production. Now in its 15th year, STEP has received multiple awards
and recognitions including those from the City of Cleveland and from The
President's Committee on the Arts and Humanities and the National
Endowment for the Arts. CPT Teaching Artists guide inner-city teens with
little or no previous performance experience on a journey of self
discovery and awareness through the dramatic arts. 

 

While I'm Here on This Earth opens on Thursday, July 31st and runs
through Sunday, August 10th, traveling to 12 different parks across the
city.   All performances are free and open to the public, with no
advance reservations required. This performance is suitable for
families!

 

While I'm Here on This Earth will be performed at the following four
locations:

 

*	Friday, August 8 at 6:00pm at Estabrook Recreation Center (4125
Fulton Rd)
*	Saturday, August 9 at 12:00 noon at Sam Miller Park - Glenville
Festival (E 88 & Esterbrook Ave)
*	Saturday, August 9 at 5:30pm at Quincy Park - Ward 6 Expo (E 82
& Quincy Ave) 
*	Sunday, August 10 at 4:00pm at Drakefield Park (Drakefield Ave
between W 157 & Silsby Rd)
