TURNING POINTE HAS TWO OPEN HOUSE WEEKENDS

 

            From break dance and hip hop to ballet and ballroom, The Turning
Pointe School of Dance offers all types of dance classes for all ages and
all levels. 

            Four open house days will be offered in August. To find out the
latest schedules, instructors and classes this season, visit The Turning
Pointe School of Dance, 2387 Locust St. S., Canal Fulton, from noon to 5
p.m. Saturday and Sunday, Aug. 9, 10 and Aug. 23, 24.

            The mission of The Turning Pointe is to inspire students in the
joy of dance whether they aspire to become a professional dancer or just to
have fun! The Turning Pointe offers classical ballet, creative movement,
jazz, hip hop, tap, tumbling, beginner baton, break dance, modern/lyrical,
cheer dance, musical theatre, ballroom, master classes and more to students
who range from pre-school to professional levels of dance. 

            The Turning Pointe School of Dance has experienced faculty
members, many of whom have won awards and have degrees in dance. The
non-profit pre-professional Ohio Youth Ballet trains at The Turning Pointe
under the artistic direction of Natalya Vyashenko-Connor, former company
member of the Alisher Navoi State Academic Bolshoi Theatre of Opera and
Ballet

in the capital of Uzbekistan. The OYB Dance Team is under the artistic
direction of Dani Aleman and Ashley Studer, and the students have
opportunities to train under special guest choreographers. The Ohio Youth
Ballet and Dance Team will have auditions Sept. 7 at 2 p.m.
