Auditions for "The Hobbit"
directed by Douglas Anderson,
will be held at 7 p.m. on
Sun., Sept. 7th & Mon., Sept. 8th.

Adapted by Patricia Gray for the stage from J.R.R. Tolkien's beloved
fantasy classic, "The Hobbit" will need a cast of about 25 including
roles for both adults and children ages 8 and up. Come prepared with a
one-minute monologue or a poem to read. Rehearsals will begin in mid

This prequel to "The Lord of the Rings" tells the delightful tale of
the homebody hobbit, Bilbo Baggins, and his many companions as they
adventure across Middle Earth to retrieve a treasure stolen by the
fierce and evil dragon, Smaug!  Familiar characters such as Gollum and
Gandalf made their first appearances in this classic for all ages.
